Is Imigration Reform A Good Idea?

Is Imigration Reform A Good Idea?

That's what this blog is going to find out. We are going to present one side of the argument and then review the majority of the posts and replies. After all it's the majority of the "Citizens" that should be represented.

The law that has recently been passed and temporarily blocked in Arizona is the exact law that is federally mandated. The only difference in the law is who will enforce it. In Arizona the governer adopted the principle that if it's a state problem then it's up to the state to provide the solution and therefore must be actively enforced by the state of Arizona's Civil Servants.

So? what's wrong with that?

Let's have a friendly open and honest discussion, be aware that everyone has the priviledge to speak their mind, however innapropriate language will get you banned from the discussion and your comment will be removed. Threats of violence or rude behavior will also get you banned from the discussion and your comments removed. Let's be adults here and present actual arguments for or against Imigration Reform.

I'll start it off,.. many of the arguments against Arizona's law is how it will be enforced. A Police Officer, State Trooper, Sheriff, Deputy, or other Enforcement Civil Servant will have the ability and obligation to ask to see a visa, or proof of citizenship if they have probable cause. An Example: If you are pulled over for speeding and you don't have a license or proof of insurance you may be asked to provide proof of citizenship.

What is interesting is that the paper work for a travel visa, or even a 10-year visa states that you are required to have on your person said visa and proof of identity in the form of photographic ID.

Now, it's your turn.
